West Plains School District is seeking highly qualified applicants for middle school reading specialist teacher.  The successful candidate must obtain or be able to obtain certification as a reading specialist. Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential.  Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, and Response to Intervention.  The successful candidate(s) will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine effectiveness of instruction.
