The West Plains School District is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of 3rd or 4th grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Specific placement will be determined at a later date. Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, Response to Intervention, and School Wide Positive Support System. The successful candidate will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine the effectiveness of instruction.

West Plains Elementary houses approximately 725 students grades PK-4. West Plains Elementary has a rich tradition of excellence and is a DESE recognized school for the implementation of School Wide Positive Behavior Support System.
