The West Plains School District is seeking highly qualified applicants for Middle School math teacher for the upcoming school year. This position will teach 6th grade mathematics. West Plains Middle School houses approximately 650 students grades 5-8. West Plains Schools has a rich tradition of academic excellence. In addition, West Plains Middle School offers a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities to enhance and develop students individual strengths and skills. Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, and Response to Intervention. The successful candidate(s) will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine effectiveness of instruction.
