The West Plains School District is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of elementary music teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at West Plains Elementary. Successful candidates will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. Further, candidates should be able to prepare age-appropriate art lessons to inspire creativity in elementary students. 

Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, Response to Intervention, and School Wide Positive Behavior Support System.  The successful candidate will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine the effectiveness of instruction.   West Plains Elementary houses approximately 750 students grades PK-4.
