West Plains R-VII Public School District is accepting applications for position of Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) instructor for grades 9-12 for the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate will provide classroom instruction for JAG courses and mentorship opportunities. This is a shared position between West Plains High School and the Zizzer Pride Academy, which is the district's alternative school. Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a state-based national non-profit organization dedicated to preventing dropouts among young people who are most at-risk.  In more than four decades of operation, JAG has delivered consistent, compelling results – helping nearly three-quarters of a million young people stay in school through graduation, pursue post secondary education and secure quality entry-level jobs leading to career advancement opportunities. West Plains High School houses approximately 1150 students grades 9-12. West Plains High School has a rich tradition of academic excellence. Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, and Response to Intervention. The successful candidate(s) will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine effectiveness of instruction.
