The West Plains R-VII School District is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Director of Operations for the 2025-2026 school year. The district serves approximately 2600 students and 400 employees. The district has a rich tradition of excellence. The successful candidate must possess the ability to lead the district in the pursuit of excellence in education, service, and life while providing opportunities for staff and students to achieve their maximum potential. Closing Date: 12/5/25.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
2. Administrative or supervisory experience required.
3. Must hold a valid principal’s certificate & superintendent's certificate (or be able to obtain upon employment).
4. Have a minimum of a Master’s degree.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
6. Must successfully pass a background check.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent/Deputy Superintendent.
SUPERVISES: Depending on duties assigned
JOB GOAL: To supervise the various operations of the district while providing leadership and direction and creating a businesslike and productive atmosphere where students can learn and staff can grow professionally.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific job duties will be determined based on the applicant selected. The duties will be shared with the Superintendent of Schools, Deputy Superintendent, and other Central Office Administrative Staff. Specific responsibilities could include the following:

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education. 12 month contract.
